.
Did it look like the photo or drawing when you got through? Yes!

How were the instructions? They were typical StyleArc, which means that while the directions were somewhat cryptic and dialectical (“jetted pockets” is Aussiespeak for “welt pockets”), they were fine if you have some experience, and…

Construction Notes: …This pattern is SO well drafted that you practically don’t need instructions if you have any experience! It’s rated Challenging to Experienced, but honestly, if you have intermediate skills you can definitely put this together easily. They have you bag the lining, and it went better than any other pattern I’ve bagged before (Big Four? Better look over your shoulders). Sizing-wise, I didn’t make any changes. When I tried on the muslin, it fit fine over my bust, so I left it as-is. I thought about adding a frog closure, but decided against it once I finished the jacket.

Likes/Dislikes: LOVE: the lines of this pattern; how well it is drafted; the fit through the upper chest and shoulders; the cool double-seamed shoulder; the way the lining fits perfectly in the garment. There is nothing that I dislike.

That’s a thing of beauty!

I also have to say, I LOVE this fabric! It’s lightweight, so you can wear it all year round. And it is so comfortable!

Would you do it again? Would you recommend it? Absolutely to both questions! This is a fabulous pattern. It fits me better than it fits Shelley, but here are some pictures on her. I’m bringing it with me when I go on a business trip next week, so hopefully I’ll get pictures of me in it then.

Conclusion: This is a great pattern. Even if you’re not an experienced sewing type, it gives great results!

Happy sewing!
